团队建设Staff - TCRWP Workshop in Hong Kong
In February, Teacher Tatomme, along with other teachers from Shanghai Victoria Kindergarten, traveled to Hong Kong for a 5-day
intensive TCRWP Workshop.
They spent the week at Lower Kornhill Victoria Kindergarten with Natalie Louis, a Literacy Consultant from the TCRWP in New York. Natalie helped deepen their understanding of the Reading and Writing Units of Study with several in class lab sites and planning sessions. Being a new program for Shanghai this year, they also discussed Balanced Literacy, grade level scheduling, resources, and ways to align IBO with TCRWP so that they work in support of one another.
The teachers were very fortunate to work with a very knowledgable and passionate instructor all week. Not only were they entertained by Natalie’s contagious sense of humour, the teachers also left with a further understanding and a fire re-sparked.
This year the Reading and Writing Program at Xinzhuang has already had great results and feedback from the teachers, the parents,
and most importantly, the students.
